Memorial Lutheran Church and School

Memorial Lutheran Church and School is located at 5800 Westheimer Rd., about a mile west of the Galleria Shopping Complex on the west side of Houston.  We are a member congregation of the LCMS and receive with joy the gift of forgiveness that Christ Jesus won for us by his life and death on the cross.  Come and receive those gifts with us!

  • Adult Bible Study, Pastor Preus Hasselbrook will lead this class Sunday, 24 August. Pastor Moerbe will take over this class with the study of Ephesians, on Sunday 31 August.
  • Adult Instruction/Membership Class begins this Sunday 24 August, and is being taught by Pastor Robert Paul.

  Men's Retreat 2025

It’s time to register for the Men’s Retreat. The retreat will be at Camp Lone Star on October 10-12. Dr. Brian German from Concordia University Wisconsin is the Chairman of the Theology Department and Director of the Concordia Bible Institute and the author of Psalms of the Faithful: Luther’s Early Reading of the Psalter in Canonical Context. He will be leading the topic of Luther and the Psalms. Martin Luther described “the Psalter ought to be a precious and beloved book, if for no other reason than this: it promises Christ’s death and resurrection so clearly—and pictures his kingdom and the condition and nature of all Christendom—that it might well be called a little Bible.”

Come see some of the fascinating ways Luther interpreted this “Little Bible."
